In my opinion, I think WB/DC should consider a Green Arrow/Black Canary team-up film. Although both, IMO, could do a solo film, I think a team-up would be smarter, especially considering that they both work together and are in a relationship. You can’t really have one without the other. It’d be pretty cool if we got a Green Arrow/Lantern team-up film but I’m not sure if it’ll work in the cinematic universe DC is building. We’ll see…
BLACK CANARY (Dinah Lance)
All these actresses can kick ass and would rock playing Canary. According to some rumors, Alona Tal is WB’s top pick for Canary, followed by Abbey Lee. Not sure how true those rumors are, however. When Canary arrives in the cinematic universe, WB/DC better let her have her super-sonic scream and not just be some tech. Anyways, let me know who you think should get the role in the poll!
*Amber Heard has been removed due to her casting as Mera in Justice League and Aquaman.*
CUPID (Carrie Cutter)
The thing about Carrie is if she exists, so does Green Arrow. The Suicide Squad should vary on what heroes caught them (previous was Batman by majority, one by Flash). If Green Arrow isn’t already introduced by the time Cupid is, it hints at the expanded universe we’re seeing from DC
GREEN ARROW (Oliver Queen)
As you can probably see, I kept the age range from mid-20s to 30s. I think GA and BC should be either the same age as the rest of the superheroes (30/early 30s) or be even younger. But let me know who you would pick, or fill out the other option in the poll if I am missing someone!
*UPDATE – Chris Pine has been removed from the poll due to his casting as Steve Trevor in Wonder Woman. Ben Barnes has been removed due to his casting in The Punisher.*
RED ARROW/ARSENAL (Speedy/Roy Harper)
Obviously, Roy should be younger than Oliver. What’s his situation in the cinematic universe? It depends. Do they plan to age up Green Arrow like they did Batman? Will he have been GA for awhile or just starting? This’ll effect how Roy comes to the story…So there’s a mix of ages a bit.
SPEEDY (Mia Dearden)
Not sure how long Green Arrow will have existed by the time we first meet him. If he just started, it may be a bit before we see Mia. If he’s been GA for a while (probably not as long as Batman), then there’ s the possibility of Mia. First to come should be Roy, so it all depends on the timeline…
Now as for a director, it’d be cool to see a male-female duo directors but duo directors aren’t too common. But in general, these are the following I’d like to see get a chance at directing a Black Canary/Green Arrow movie. (Let me know your own picks!)
Nicolas Winding Refn (Drive)
Brad Bird (Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol)
Michelle MacLaren (Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad)
Guy Ritchie (Sherlock Holmes, The Man From U.N.C.L.E)
Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead, Scott Pilgrim vs The World)
