Brie Larson is Captain Marvel!

It was reported by Variety early June that Brie Larson was in talks to play Carol Danvers, the first female superhero from Marvel to get a solo film. It’s stated that Marvel plans to get the actress cast early in case of a possibility of showing up in a film before her solo in 2019. The only announcements for the film so far had been the script writers, Meg LeFauve and Nicole Perlman (Inside Out).

Wonder Woman, Justice League, Suicide Squad – Oh My!

So much awesomeness coming from the DC Films panel from Warner Bros today. The directors of the DC Universe first appeared and each spoke a bit about their film and being apart of the universe. Wonder Woman panel came next followed by not only surprise shot of the Justice League but also the first footage. After those two came Suicide Squad who also showed a new (final?) trailer for the film with 3 of the film’s songs featured in it. Let’s check it all out!

Suicide Squad covers Entertainment Weekly

“Two years ago ­Suicide Squad was a tertiary [DC property]. No one knew anything about it. It was a cool little playground, and I was going to go make my movie,” says the film’s writer/director, David Ayer. “Now it’s like the hype bus. All of the attention has swung onto it, and it has to carry a lot more weight than it was ever intended to. I think it can sustain it. But it’s a lot of pressure.
